Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams, one of the worlds most known photographers, didn't begin his career the way you would think. In the beginning, Ansel had a hard time in school, he delt with constant bullying from others, he also had a difficult time learning. Ansel was bullied because of his nose, which was disfigured after breaking it in an earthquake. Later he was home schooled by his father and aunt, and he later was sent to a private school.
While being in school, Ansel managed to teach himself to play the piano, not only that but he taught himself to read music. While he enjoyed his time playing the piano, it  was his future career for 12 years, until he found himself in the field of photography. To start his dream of on two feet, his first fully visualized photo was published in 1927, and it's name was, Monolith, The Face Of The Half Dome. Around 1930 Ansel met Paul Strand, who changed Adams photography completely. Strand influenced Adams to move towards "Straight photography" , which is what he soon mastered.
Soon later, he published his own book called , "Making a photograph", which came out in 1935. His fame was rapidly rising. Except he wasn't rich like you would think. Ansel Adams was a struggling man, as he was usually broke. But throughout life, he lived happily, and he became something other than 'a kid with a odd nose.'
I chose to use this picture of Ansel Adams because I love the sky against the small village. I absolutely love how the moon is so bright against the dark sky. I also really like how much of the sky is in the picture compared to the ground. It shows how small this village is compared to everything around it.
